We are thrilled to share that Vista Tower has been recognized by Architectural Digest as one of the most anticipated buildings to be completed in 2020.
Published this January, the piece detailed the defining moments in the world of architecture in 2019: the death of popular architect I.M. Pei (known for his design of the glass pyramid at The Louvre in Paris) and the catastrophic fire that nearly obliterated the Notre-Dame Cathedral. It also painted a picture of hope for the structural innovation to come with new focuses on designing innovative eco-friendly and affordable housing structures in 2020. It’s clear that the industry’s continued mission is to help shape the future of everyday lives through architecture.
Chicago’s Vista Tower was highlighted as the seventh most anticipated building to be completed this year worldwide. Envisioned by our fearless Architect Jeanne Gang, whose designs are intended to incorporate the wonders of the natural world into urban settings, Vista Tower is spotlighted for its various impeccable features including the stunning residences and amenities as well as its impressive height of 1,191 feet. Once completed, Vista Tower will become the third-tallest skyscraper in the Windy City, officially joining the list of famous buildings in the world.
Additionally, the piece includes insight from Jeanne Gang’s partner and Design Principal, Juliane Wolf, surrounding the building’s intentional exterior design: “the building steps in and out [and] gives a sense of movement to passersby as light plays across the building throughout the day.” In other words, the thoughtful elements and construction put into the skyscraper not only gives residents a one-of-a-kind building to marvel at and live in, but also leaves passerby in awe of its woven-like glass paneling and structural beauty that reflects the life of the city day-in and day-out.
