Our team was thrilled to bring on the exceptional architect and interior designer to create Vista Tower’s floor plans for our ultra luxurious penthouses. We wanted to highlight a few facts you may not know about her to celebrate yet another successful collaborative interior design project, and the much-anticipated Summer move-ins for these magnificently designed spaces.
Here are six things you may not know about Suzanne Lovell:
- Lovell was interested in taking on this exciting project because it allowed her the ability to create luxury condo layouts and exquisite interiors that celebrated Vista Tower’s views while creating balance of moments within every space
- According to an interview with La Dolce Vita, Lovell shared that her guilty pleasure is shoes, especially platform shoes.
- Lovell first began her professional career in architecture at Skidmore Owings & Merrill in 1980, one of the largest and most influential architecture, interior design, engineering and urban planning firms in the world.
- Lovell has designed projects for residential clients in Chicago, New York City, Naples, San Francisco and the South of France.
- She believes great design is a sequence of experience, or what she calls The 3-Dimensional Experience. Lovell is vocal on how we experience space – first in a series of vignettes, in addition to proportion, scale and spatial capacity. Lovell suggests that these factors contribute to the dialogue and the success of proper and effective installations, which create experiential architecture – values that were integral in the creation of each of Vista Tower’s floor plans and luxury residences.
- When determining how to approach bringing texture and colors into the spaces at Vista Tower, Lovell reflected on a visit to Clyfford Still Museum in Denver. She was inspired by the textured concrete surfaces at the museum and wanted to draw that into her designs – you can find this reflected in the continuity and selection of materials chosen to complete the residences.
