Lakeshore East, one of Chicago’s most vibrant new communities, presents an unmatched experience for visitors and nearby residents alike. With its proximity to Lake Michigan, Millennium Park, the Magnificent Mile and more, it is truly a must-visit destination for Chicagoans. And for those seeking new spots to make the most of summertime in Chicago and safely socially distance with family and friends, we’re bringing you details on two new Lakeshore East restaurants in the area to enjoy: Lakeshore East Food & Beer Garden and FireLake Chicago.

Lakeshore East Food & Beer Garden

Located next to the Village Market at the corner of E. Benton Pl. and N. Park Dr., sits a favorite lunch spot in Chicago with 70 picnic tables spaced at least six feet apart for safe, outdoor dining. Featuring popular food and drink from Eggy’s Chicago Diner and Gordo’s Tiny Taco Bar, the food & beer garden offers guests a mixed menu available seven days a week (7 a.m. – 10 p.m.).

You can start your day with urban comfort food from Eggy’s Diner, including signature dishes like the Chicken and Waffles, Eggy’s Breakfast Sandwich, Eggy’s Benedict and Gyros Skillet. Later in the day, try out fan-favorites from Gordo’s including Gordo’s Muchos Nachos, Choriqueso, Asada Tacos and glasses/pitchers of Margaritas!

Knowing Chicagoans’ love of live competition and entertainment, the garden is also safely implementing a series of live music, trivia and movies throughout the rest of the summer. Looking for a family-friendly space outdoors? The garden is excited to show Onward as part of its movie programming on Saturday, August 29 at 8 p.m.

Excited to bring its concept to Chicago, FireLake is now open for lunch, dinner and weekend brunch with seating both indoors and on the patio. Known for its wood-fired cooking, FireLake presents a unique take on farm-to-table dining in the heart of Downtown Chicago. This favorite outdoor dinner and lunch spot in Chicago sources locally wherever possible, especially in its Midwestern meat, freshwater fish and produce, FireLake offers residents and visitors a “taste of home” with its inspired menu.

Chicagoans love their brunch and we have no doubt they’ll find a new favorite during the weekends at FireLake. Brunch House Specialties include The Big Biscuit, a house-made biscuit sandwich, choice of egg any style, sausage patty, cheddar cheese, avocado, arugula and potatoes, and the Banana Foster Stuffed French Toast, with a cinnamon brioche, caramelized bananas, strawberries, and walnuts.

Adult guests can partake in FireLake’s elevated cocktail menu, which features the Lake Front Views with Pierre Ferrand 1840, Mathilde peche, honey, angostura bitters, and lemon. Don’t miss out on Lakeshore East’s restaurants and outdoor dining spots – it has something for every palate and a location perfect for celebrating the last sips of summer.
