Groundbreaking in 2016

In September of 2016, the tower broke ground in the Lakeshore East neighborhood. The highly-anticipated kick off was celebrated by Magellan Development Group, Mayor Rahm Emanuel, Alderman Brendan Reilly, and Jeanne Gang, the architect. Those in attendance experienced a moment of history as Chicago’s third-tallest building began its ascent to becoming a member of the renowned skyline.

Sales Gallery Opening in 2017

More than 300 guests gathered to celebrate the extraordinary architecture and design of the St. Regis Chicago at the grand opening of the Sales Gallery, located at 345 E. Wacker Drive. The evening featured distinctive elements, including a cascading flower wall, gem colored candles and sleek floral arrangements, as well as a tasteful menu and drinks inspired by natural elements to reflect the design of the property’s interior and exterior, and celebrate the progress of construction.

Penthouse Sales in 2018

In a rigorous real estate market, St. Regis Chicago was thrilled to secure two high-priced penthouse condo sales, in anticipation of the tower’s completion date in 2020. The sale totaled $26.8 million and included one 10,640-square-foot residence on the 71st and 72nd floors and a 5,600-square-foot unit on the 74th floor, both a part of The St. Regis Chicago’s Sky 360 Residences. The homes offer expansive floor plans, luxurious finishes and features, as well as 360-degree panoramic views of the city and lakefront.

Construction Progress & Topping Out in 2019

A moment of significant progress for the highly-anticipated project came in April 2019 when The St. Regis building in Chicago reached its highest point at 101-stories as the Tower’s construction crew placed the final beam, signifying the topping out, and soaring at a height of 1,191 feet. The building’s completion date came in the summer of 2020.
